HYNDBURN folk can have their say on future developments in the borough.

The council is asking residents to complete a questionaire and highlight land or areas which they consider to be acceptable for housing, employment or other uses, as well as areas that should be protected from development.

Council leader Peter Britcliffe said: “We want people to have their say as it’s too late when developers come along and want to build, so please tell us now.”

Residents can complete the “call for sites’’ form which can be downloaded from the council’s website: www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk or obtained from the council’s main office at Scaitcliffe House.

All forms must be returned by 4pm next Friday, 17 October, to: Plans and Environment Planning and Trasnportation, Hyndburn Borough Council, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington BB5 0PF.
