Severe winds struck the region last night however Hyndburn seems to have got off lightly.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and road policing teams reported no fallen trees or major damage in the area.
However fireghters from Hyndburn were called out several times to addresses on Lime Road and Belfield Road in Accrington to make television aerials safe on the tops of homes.
Hyndburn Council have reported no disruption to services.
Great Harwood councillor Ian Robinson said: “Some of the trees in Great Harwood were bending because of the wind. It was incredible.
“However the council have done a lot of maintenance work over the past 12 months it cutting back and trimming trees to try and reduce problems.
“We do have a lot of trees to close to the roads and this time last year one blew down.
“I've had a drive round to check certain buildings that could be affected and also scaffolding on some and everything seems fine.”
