Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

Lee Anthony Phillipson, 37, of Burton Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £145, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Wade Andrew Rushton, 20, of Emma Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Joanne Marie Catherine Warner, 33, of East Park Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to shoplifting at Tesco in Accrington. She was given a six-month community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement and fined £20.

Jamie Joseph Stanton, 21, of Midland Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance. He was given a 12-month community order with a 20-week curfew requirement, 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Richard James Ray, 36, of Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour and while subject to a suspended sentence order. He was fined £50, ordered to pay £85 costs and his suspended sentence was varied to include an extra 20 hours’ unpaid work.

Jamie Bates, 22, of Water Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident to police. He was fined £215, ordered to pay £85 costs and given five points on his driving licence.

Paul Douglas Taylor, 48, of Spencer Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of a sexual offences prevention order. He was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.
