Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

Mohammed Nassar, 30, of St Huberts Road, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident. He was fined £160, ordered to pay £85 costs and was given six points on his driving licence.

Yasser Ali, 27, of College Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer in the execution of her duty. He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.

Kristian Jordan Keenan, 24, of Roberts Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage at Accrington Marks and Spencers. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £400 compensation.

Lily Claire Russell, 29, of Princess Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to drink driving. She was fined £360, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Glen Wilson Bowers, 36, of John Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to stealing jewellery. He was given a 12-month community order with a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £500 compensation.

Ross Lamont, 27, of Broad Oak Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was given a 12-month community order with 200 hours’ unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 48 months, reduced by 48 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Artur Michal Borowy, 29, of High Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £200, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Stephen Ryan Cairney, 23, of Exchange Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was fined £200.

John William McFadyen, 23, of Sharples Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to stealing money. He was given an 18-month community order with a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £30 and ordered to pay £250 compensation and £60 costs.

Michael Joseph Bray, 23, of Princess Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order and while subject to a suspended prison sentence. He was jailed for 18 weeks.

Simone Hindle, 33, of Henfield Close, Altham, pleaded guilty to dishonestly making a false statement to Hyndburn Council with a view to gaining housing and council tax benefit. She was given a six-month conditional discharge.

Sarah Butterworth, 27, of Warwick Close, Church, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Kerrie Forsyth, 24, of Beech Grove, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Mark Holmes, 38, of Avenue Parade, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Nicola Lowe, 32, of Sydney Street, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Deny Wallace, 25, of Albert Street, Oswaldtwistle, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Saul Tootle, 22, of Pickup Street, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, assault by beating and using violence for the purpose of securing entry into a premises. He was given a 12-month community order with a two-week curfew requirement and 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, a 12-month restraining order and ordered to pay £250 compensation.

Tariq Hussain, 23, of Burnley Road, Accrington, was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation, driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance and no test certificate. He was given a 16-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months, ordered to pay £600 costs and disqualified from driving for 42 months, reduced by 42 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Richard Thomas Jones, 43, of Edenfield Road, Rochdale, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Clayton-le-Moors. He was fined £700, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Fabian Zielinski, 25, of Windermere Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation. He was given a 12-month community order with 60 hours’ unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Joanne Nield, 42, of Nuttall Street Mews, Accrington, pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting, one count of committing theft having entering part of Royal Blackburn Hospital as a trespasser, and three counts of failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. She was given a 12-month community order with a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement, a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £20 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Adrian John Betney, 26, of Tunstall Drive, Accrington, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.
