Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

Charlotte Jane Croft, 42, of Belfield Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. She was given a 12-month community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement and 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £20 and ordered to pay £400 compensation and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Julian Slaney, 36, of Wesley Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to a police officer. He was given an eight-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervision requirement, ordered to carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work and pay a £150 criminal courts charge.

Charlene Marie George, 27, of Rawson Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Accrington town centre. She was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge.

John McCafferty, 24, of Belfield Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Aaron Palmer, 22, of Lindadale Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to drink driving and possessing cannabis. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, fined £250, ordered to pay £150 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge, and disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Gary John Bates, 33, of Bullough Close, Accrington, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and using a vehicle where the tread grooves were not of sufficient depth. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge and given five points on his driving licence.

Yves Haworth Tempels, 32, of Devon Place, Church, pleaded guilty to breaching the peace. He was bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months to keep the peace.

Sheena Michele Bibby, 44, of Charter Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Angela Bishop, 53, of Burnley Road, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Gary Catton, 48, of Devonshire Drive, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Amber Conlon, 24, of Fairclough Road, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Ann Marie Humphreys, 33, of Meadoway, Church, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Brian South, 54, of Wellington Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Darren Totten, 47, of Derby Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £60 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
