A performance by comedian Jason Manford in the borough has been postponed - so he can star at the London Palladium.

The comedian was set to perform at the Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle on Sunday, April 19 to celebrate the first anniversary of the Manford Comedy Clubs.

However, the show will now be delayed until Sunday, May 3 after he was invited to perform at the London Palladium.

A statement from the Civic Arts Centre and Theatre said: “We need to let you know that the evening of Jason and Friends is moving to May 3.

“We realise that this is probably an inconvenience for you and we do apologise. Jason has been asked to do the Night at the London Palladium show on April 19 so can’t be with us. However, all tickets sold for April 19 are being automatically transferred to May 3 and anyone who wants a full refund can get one.

“If we don’t hear from you we’ll assume that there is no problem.“We apologise for this but telly land has called him away from us and there is nothing we can do.

“We’re still looking forward to a fun night on May 3.

“We hope you understand - sorry.”
