Two robbers wearing snoods and armed with knives threatened shop staff before making off with cash and cigarettes.

Police said the raid happened at the Premier Dixon News Food and Wine shop on Marlborough Road store in Accrington as staff were closing up.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said two men produced knives and demanded money and a pack of cigarettes and made off with around £200.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 13 and no injuries were reported.

The men are described as tall, wearing dark clothing and both had their faces covered with snoods.

No arrests have been made.
