GREAT grandmother Mrs Lily Kirkbright has died at Woodlands Care Home in Clayton-le-Moors aged 90.
The former weaver worked at The Velvet Factory on Victoria Street up until her retirement.
She was married to Albert who died in 1994.
Mrs Kirkbright used to live at Springfield Mews, Oswaldtwistle, but spent her final days at the care home.
She was cremated following a service at Accrington Crematorium which was taken by the Rev Christine Leech.
She leaves children Joyce and Alan, son-in-law Raymond and daughter-in-law Janice, grandchildren Michelle, Darren and Andrea and great-grandchildren Daniel and Marc, Madison, Phoebe and Connor.
While living at Springfield Mews Lily was actively involved in organising buffets and bingo for the residents and their friends, something she was always happy to do.
