A SYNDICATE of 13 colleagues from a Hyndburn firm has won nearly £4M on the national lottery.
Andy Whittaker, his wife Jayne, his dad Arthur and colleagues Peter Lewis, Steve Goodyear, Kieron McNamara, Jimmy Austell, Gary Sherrington, Michael Keegan, June McSherry, Liz Hollis, plus two others, all work for motor repair and rewind specialists ASK Rewinds Ltd on Altham Industrial Estate.
They have scooped a massive £3,938,641 after matching all six numbers on the Lotto rollover draw on Saturday.
Andy Whittaker, managing director, said: "It is absolutely tremendous to win. My dad is the syndicate leader and always watches the lottery on a Saturday night. He’s always been convinced that we’d win. When he rang me on Saturday I was in shock.
"My mum said he just raced into the lounge, wearing nothing but his string vest, and did a celebratory dance."
Arthur, 79, watched in amazement as the numbers 6, 25, 33, 37, 42 and 43 all came up.
Each member of the syndicate, which has been running for 10 years, has won £302,972.
ASK Rewinds was established in 1978 and specialises in repairing and rewinding motors.
