Man in coma after 50ft fall from Accrington Viaduct

Lancashire Police said the 20-year-old man fell from the viaduct overnight. He is currently being treated for head injuries and a broken leg at Royal Preston Hospital.

Accrington Viaduct

A young man is in a coma after plunging almost 50ft from the viaduct in Accrington.

Lancashire Police said the 20-year-old man fell from the viaduct overnight.

He is currently being treated for head injuries and a broken leg at Royal Preston Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: “It is not yet clear what happened. Further enquiries will be carried out today.”
