Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a glass bottle in an Accrington pub.

The victim, a 47-year-old man, was out drinking in the Bridge Pub, in Church on Saturday February 6, when he was hit in the head with what police believe was a glass bottle.

The incident happened shortly after 3am, and the man was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with a deep cut to his head.

He is now recovering at home.

Two men aged 39 and 35 were arrested on suspicion of wounding and have been released on bailed pending further enquiries.
