THEY travel from far and wide to be Accrington Stanley mascots, but Jordan Wilson outshone them all.

The six-year-old lives in Calgary in Canada and got the chance to be the Reds' mascot against Premier side Wigan during his month- long stay in England.

He is visiting the area with his mum Karen Wilson, who is originally from Great Harwood.

Karen and husband Mark, who moved to Canada in 1997, still come back regularly to see friends and relatives.

Karen's friend, Kate Prescott, is a big Stanley fan and organised the day for Jordan against the Premiership new boys.

Kate said: "He really enjoyed it. So much so he didn't want to come off the pitch!"
