A 51-year-old woman who was reported as a 'high risk' missing person on Monday has been found safe and well.
Mavis Bury, of Huncoat, went missing on Monday, March 21.
She left home unannounced at 6am and hadn’t been in contact with any family or friends.
On Monday Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue searched Spring Wood Picnic site near Whalley.
Police and other search parties went to the canal tow path and fields and woods surrounding her home address.
A Lancashire Police helicopter was utilised during the day and after dark to clear large open spaces.
Several members of the public assisted the mountain recuers with the search of open ground.
Nothing was found by 10pm on Monday night and the team was stood down at 10.30pm. But Mavis was found safe and well by police in Blackpool on Tuesday night.
