Police say more arrests will be made following a mass brawl between juveniles which led to a 17-year-old having his jaw broken.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 4 at 8.30pm on McDonald's car park in Accrington.

DI Claire Holbrook, of Accrington CID, said a 15-year-old and 16-year-old both from the Accrington area, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder but have been bailed pending further enquiries.

She said: "We will continue to make arrests until all the offenders from the night in question are brought to justice. If anyone involved in the violence could come forward before we come knocking on your door we would look favorably on that. If not expect an early morning visit."

Sgt Andy Green, of Accrington Police said a large group of youths were congregating in the area off Blackburn Road before a brawl broke out at 8.30pm.

Police believe the 17-year-old victim was an innocent bystander.

Cops have seized several mobile phones and are sifting through tsocial networking site facebook as part of an investigation.
