A COUPLE from Cheshire have taken over at the Greyhound Inn, Altham West.
Paul and Mandy Jones previously ran a pub in Macclesfield, and Paul, 44, has over 10 years experience in the licensing trade.
The couple come to the Whalley Road pub with their four children, Chloe, 13, Blair, 10, seven-year-old Ebony and Alfie, who is two-and-a-half.
Mandy, 37, said she was delighted to be at the Greyhound. She said: "This is a good pub with some lovely regulars and a steady crowd of people who come in.''
Meanwhile, a new licensee has appeared behind the bar of the Royal Oak pub in Sparth Road, Clayton. Barry Johns has moved to the Thwaites hostelry after managing the nearby Forts Arms in Lower Barnes Street, Clayton, since last October.
