Firefighters tackled a blaze at a motor garage in Oswaldtwistle yesterday.
Smoke was seen coming from the Heys Lane Motor Services garage shortly before 6pm.
Hyndburn fire crews used a powered saw to gain access to the building and spent an hour at the scene on Heys Lane.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We don't know how it started but the cause of the fire is being investigated."
There was light smoke damage to the garage workshop.
