A painting created by an Accrington artist of Peter Andre and his children is now hanging in one of the popstar’s homes.

Debbie Boyle decided to paint a portrait of the singer and TV star with two of his children Princess and Junior after she heard he would like her work.

The 30-year-old who lives in Clayton le Moors said: "He comes across as a lovely guy, especially the way he deals with Harvey – the son of his ex-wife Katie Price - who has autism, so I decided to paint the portrait for him after a friend of his said he would like my work."

Debbie has two children, Brooklyn, one, and Harrison, three, who also has autism.

She added: "Peter has always been somebody I have looked up to with the way he deals with Harvey.

"Harrison was diagnosed when Katie Price and Peter were on TV with their first series and me and my husband used to watch it when we were coming to terms with his condition. It helped to see how Harvey progressed. It has been very hard to deal with."

The vibrant painting was created in October last year and this week Debbie got a phone call from Peter Andre’s agent to say he loves it.

A signed photograph was also posted to her to say thankyou.

Debbie, who runs db ArtStudio, said: "It was really nice that the effort was made to get in touch with me, apparently he is not allowed to himself as he can’t be seen to be associated with any company. But it is nice to know it is in one of his homes.

"I am a fan of some of his music and he is beautiful."

Debbie, who studied art at university, decided to set up her own business after becoming frustrated in jobs she did not enjoy.

She added: "It was a hard decision with having family commitments but my husband was really encouraging and told me to take the leap of faith.

"I now do a variety of different styles including iconic pop art, people and pet portraits, Disney characters and wall murals.

"I also take commissions from people and work off a photograph."
