Police are investigating a possible attack on a man in a back alley.
The man in his 20s was found near the top end of Barnes Street in Clayton-le-Moors at around 8.30am yesterday and appears to have been assaulted.
Police said they were called by the ambulance service but said the man couldn't remember what had happened.
A spokesperson said: “His injuries are consistent with being assaulted but he has no recollection of this.
“We are investigating the possibility he was assaulted.”
The man was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
