Police are hunting three masked armed men who robbed a business in a ‘terrifying incident’.

Officers were called at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 29 after three masked men had entered the Micro Peripherals unit on the Altham Industrial Estate and threatened staff.

The men were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas and they are believed to have been armed with knives and metal bars which they used to threaten staff.

Police said there were three staff in the premises at the time and although they were shocked, no-one was injured. The robbers stole two pallets of electronic items and left in a large white van.

Around an hour later a group of men was seen on Roman Way in Preston unloading a large white van and transferring items to a smaller white van, believed to be a Renault, before they made off.

Detectives are now looking at various lines of inquiry, including checking CCTV and tracing the vehicles.

Det Sgt Eric Halford, of East CID, said: “This was a terrifying incident. I would appeal to anyone who has any information or who witnessed anything, including any suspicious activity involving the two vehicles mentioned, to get in touch.” Call police on 101.
