A man has died almost a week after he was involved in a quad bike crash on an Accrington street.
Irfan Arif, 30, was a passenger on the bike when it hit a lamppost at the junction of Clement Street and Augusta Street last Saturday.
Lancashire cops confirmed that Mr Arif, from Accrington, died from a brain injury at the Royal Preston Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 34-year-old driver of the bike, his cousin Asaf Hussain, 34, who owns the XXL Gym off Corporation Street, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The bike had hit two women and two children, including a 10-month-old baby whose pram was crumpled, when it crashed into them. None of them were seriously injured.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision and Lancashire Police’s road unit has appealed for witnesses to call 0845 125 3545 or 01254 51212.
