Hyndburn Ramblers celebrated their 75th anniversary with a party atmosphere atop Pendle Hill.
Separate groups of walkers completed two different walks, of nine and six miles. The longer walk was led by Trevor Whittaker, the Hyndburn group chairman, who began his ascent from Pendleton accompanied by 14 others.
The shorter walk was led by David Hill, a long time member and leader, who began at Downham, joined by 16 other walkers.
The weather on the day was ideal and both groups made it to the summit within five minutes of each other where they met up with further member groups from the North East Lancashire Area.
These included Clitheroe, Burnley and Pendle, Rossendale and Blackburn with Darwen groups.
Area chairman Michael Counter then introduced the Ramblers CEO Mr Tom Franklin, who greeted those present and thanked everyone for all the hard work that is put in to running groups, leading walks and maintaining the UK's public footpaths.
