YOUR super Observer has notched up top sales figures yet again.
Official ABC figures show that in the six months from January to June we achieved an average circulation of over 15,000 for the first time ever.
The figure of 15,006 was a rise of 341 copies on the same period last year.
And it marks a sustained rise from 12,876 in 2001 to 13,238 in 2002, 13,852 in 2003 and 14,665 last year.
What's more, our latest 2.3 per cent rise was the highest of any weekly newspaper in the North West.
Delighted Editor Mervyn Kay said: "It really is an ongoing success story. Our mixture of exclusive news stories, fun competitions like Baby of the Year and Pet Idol and popular Life section make a winning combination.
"It's a real team effort, and our readers and advertisers are part of that team. We would, of course, always welcome more."
