SCHOOLGIRL Charlotte Case is hoping to be crowned the UK’s top teenager in a national beauty contest.
The brown-eyed brunette has made it through to heat five of Miss Teen Queen UK but needs as many Observer readers’ votes as possible.
The 15-year-old Mount Carmel RC Science College pupil has already been chosen from thousands of entrants to take part in a professional London photo-shoot.
She is among 50 girls whose pictures have been posted on a website and at the end of the month the top two will go through to the grand final. A panel of judges and a public vote will then choose who will represent the country in an international beauty pageant in Thailand.
Charlotte, who lives in Clayton-le-Moors with parents Susan and Paul and 10-year-old sister Sarah, spotted the competition in teen magazine Sugar.
She said: "It is the first time I have entered anything like this. The photo-shoot was weird, it’s actually quite hard work. It’s not as easy as people think."
Voting will end at 10pm on 31 January. To vote for Charlotte text her full name to 84205, call 0901 656 1515 and key in number 26. For more information visit the website www.teenqueenuk.com
