Inspire, a drug and alcohol treatment service, are to launch their new programme in Accrington tonight.
The programme - known as FACT (Families and Carers Together) - is designed to provide information and support to families, friends and partners who are, or who have been affected by someone else’s substance misuse across East Lancashire.
The event will include a flashmob and networking with guess speaker, Elizabeth Burton-Philips, founder and acting CEO of Drug Fam. She was also author of "Mum, Can You Lend Me Twenty Quid?".
Services offered in the FACT programme include practical advice and information, a telephone helpline, personalised assessments, counselling, one to one support and access to peer–led support groups.
Accrington Inspire, based on Eagle Street, are to hold the launch event at The Globe Conference & Business Centre, St James Square, from 5.30pm to 8pm on Thursday, July 19.
Inspire, which has bases around East Lancashire is run by CRI, a national charity aiming to create healthier, safer communities.
