Police in Hyndburn are investigating a spate of thefts and break-ins in Church and Oswaldtwistle.

Seven burglaries were reported on Dill Hall Lane on Tuesday, December 29 when a number of sheds were broken into.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “A number of sheds were broken into, one had a padlock damaged but nothing of value was taken from them.”

A number of coping stones were taken from a wall and a church in the Garfield Street area sometime between January 1 and 4.

Two motorhomes were also stolen in separate incidents.

A 2008 motorhome was taken from Edward Court in Church on Wednesday, December 30 while a white Challenge 480 caravan with an 08 VPM plate was stolen from Yew Tree Drive in Oswaldtwistle on Sunday, January 3.

Enquiries are ongoing.
