Singing star Hollie Steel will be taking part in a fund-raiser in memory of the mum and baby killed in a car crash on Eastgate last month.

Thirty-year-old mother-of-two Jackie Bloomer and baby boy Jayden died when an out of control car mounted the pavement and ploughed into them.

Extreme clothes shop, on Eastgate in Accrington has now organised a family day in memory of the tragic pair.

Huncoat singing sensation Hollie, who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, will be lending her support to the event being held this Sunday at the Poplar Club, in Wellington Street, Accrington between 1pm and 5pm.

Janine Haworth from Extreme said: "This tragedy highlights how precious families are, and we wanted to chose an event that we felt would best represent Jackie and Jayden. There will be a children's party and disco, magic show, auction, face painting and more. A huge thank you goes to all the companies who have helped out so far by donating prizes for the raffle."

Tickets are £5 for adults and children go free. Each adult ticket includes a child's meal box and a raffle ticket.
