Household names from Strictly Come Dancing descended on Accrington for the finale event of this year’s Time to Dance festival.
Dancers including Ian Waite, Natalie Lowe, Matthew and Nicole Cutler performed showcases for a 180-strong crowd at the town hall last Saturday night.
The evening brought to an end the month-long festival at the town hall which has played host to more than 30 different events ranging from children’s hip hop to beginners ballroom, line dancing and rock ‘n’ roll.
Around 1,500 took part during the festival which is now in its third year.
Hyndburn Leisure Trust events manager Kerry Smith said: “The purpose of the Time To Dance festival is to give dance enthusiasts a wide range of exhibitions, tutorials and classes they can enjoy, but also to attract beginners who may have little or no experience.
“From that point of view the festival has been a huge success, from the large crowds at the opening and closing showcases to the novice dancers learning new skills at the classes we organised.
“It’s wonderful to see such an active and growing dance community in Hyndburn and I think we can now all look forward to Time to Dance 4 next year.”
