A TEENAGER was slashed twice on the arm during a street attack in Accrington town centre.

The 16-year-old boy, who has not been named, was set upon in the car park of Netto food store, off Eastgate in Accrington, at 12.45am on Saturday.

He received two deep cuts to his left forearm before managing to break away and call for help.

Ambulance crews treated the boy at the scene before taking him to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward and help them with their inquiries on 0845 125 3545 or by ringing Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
