THESE are the horrific injuries suffered by a teenage mum who was scarred for life in an unprovoked attack by another woman.

Sasha Hastie, 19, of Victoria Street, Accrington, was hit over the head with a litre vodka bottle, knocked unconscious and left bleeding in the road.

She woke up in hospital with serious cuts to her cheek, eyebrow, arm and back, and it took nearly eight hours for medics to give her 59 stitches.

This week her attacker, Lisa Connor, 28, appeared at Burnley Crown Court to plead guilty to wounding with intent.

No evidence was given but Judge Simon Newell said: "I have had the chance to look at the black and white photographs of the victim’s injuries and they are very nasty."

He told Connor: "I am adjourning this hearing for a pre-sentence report but you must be aware that you are likely to receive a custodial sentence."

Connor was remanded on bail and will be sentenced on 18 November.

After the hearing mum-of-one Sasha, who has a twin brother Damian, relived the horror.

She said she was out with friends on 6 July when they decided to go to a house party in nearby Countess Street.

She said: "I had only had a couple of drinks. I didn’t know the girl whose party it was but I didn’t for one minute think I would be in any danger so I decided to go and join in.

"I hadn’t been there long when I felt the mood change. The girl whose house it was had become really angry and kept saying I’d called her horrible names, which I hadn’t.

"I decided the best thing to do would be to get up and leave so as not to make things worse.

"The last thing I remember is being on my own with her, facing a litre size vodka bottle and being desperate to go home."

She was then set upon in a vicious street attack at around 1.30am. Among her injuries was an 18cm cut to her back.

She said: "I will only feel justice has been done when Connor is sent to prison because she has left me in such a mess for no reason.

"I have just started a new job and I dread taking my coat off in case people comment on the state of my arm. My scars have left me really self-conscious but I am now concentrating on getting my life back on track for my daughter Courtney.

"I will eventually need plastic surgery on my arm because it has not healed properly and I have no feeling in the damaged area any more."
