A teenager suffered facial injuries after he was robbed and had his phone and bank card stolen.
Elliot Studholme was robbed after stopping to help a woman on the pavement.
The incident happened near Bullough Park in Accrington on Saturday, April 11 at around 8pm.
Elliot’s father Barry, 57, a builder, said: “We were at our allotments at Miller Fold and he set off about 7pm.
“He came across a young woman on the floor and he stopped to help her. Two lads got hold of him and started punching him.
“They wanted his phone and when he refused to hand it over they forced it out of his pocket and they took his wallet and bank card.
“He’s got a black eye and some bruising on the left side of his face.
“He won’t go out on his own now.”
Police said the 17-year-old victim was robbed by two Asian males, one of whom punched the victim in the face. Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log number 1285 for April 11.
A 15-year-old and a 19-year-old from Accrington have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and bailed until May.
