THE wait is finally over and after counting hundreds of entries we can reveal the winners of the 2009 Baby of the Year competition.
Seventeen-month-old Ellica Mae Bradshaw has been voted our most gorgeous girl and Carlson Daniel Bates, two, is our bonniest boy.
Blue-eyed Ellica is the first-born daughter of Sarah, 35, and Jason, 37, of Bury Street, Oswaldtwistle.
Proud mum Sarah, who works as a carer in the community, said: "I’m so pleased she has won. She is a happy baby and loves people."
And Carlson’s mum Katie Trickett, 26, said both of his older brothers Ethan Trickett, five, and Lewis Trickett, four, were entered in previous Baby of the Year competitions but not selected.
Katie, a teaching assistant, said: "We really didn’t know how he would do because neither of his brothers did well in the past, but you never know. We are really pleased he won and excited to have a family photo with all five of us."
Carlson, a brown-eyed-tot, lives with his mum and dad Carl Bates, 26, in Sultan Street, Accrington.
The winners were chosen by our readers. The parents of each of the winners will receive a sitting for a special family portrait from our co-sponsors the Garth Dawson Studio, along with a £50 cheque from the Observer.
