Welcome again to our new Time-trip column where each week we publish a set of pictures which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.

The pictures appear on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.

This week features joint birthday celebrations for Alison and Paul Lorente at Stanley Street Club in Accrington Hotel (above) and Oliver Nesbitt’s tenth birthday when pals took a limousine ride to Accrington Superbown.

We also feature Vanessa Donnelly’s 40th birthday celebrations at Accrington Golf Club and Gina Smith and Christopher Prestage’s engagement party at Accrington’s Oaklea Club. They were all taken in 2004.
