HYNDBURN Council have come up with some top tips to help residents reduce, reuse and recycle as much waste as possible over Christmas.
Tips include don't buy food you may not eat, avoid using unnecessary packaging, recycle any electrical products at Hyndburn Used Furniture Store, use reusable bags when shopping, contact the council for a free bulky waste Collection on 399988 and recycle your Christmas cards.
Council Leader, Councillor Peter Britcliffe said: "Residents are doing a great job of recycling, but we need to continue this good work and increase our efforts over Christmas.
"Whilst recycling is important, we also need to remember to minimise our waste by reducing packaging and reusing as many items as possible."
