TWO people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a car collided with two parked vehicles on a residential street.

Fire bosses said a white Peugeot 206 collided with a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Fiesta on Hermitage Street in Rishton at around 7.30pm on Tuesday.

A man in his 20s and a teenage girl were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said nobody was trapped in the vehicles but they were severely damaged.

Police closed off the road just before 9pm to recover the vehicles, and it was reopened by 10.15pm.

No arrests have been made.

Officers are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to call 101.
