A fire in a terraced house shattered its windows and caused them to be blown out.
Ten firefighters were called to an empty house on Albert Street in Clayton-le-Moors at around 8.40pm last night.
John Taylor of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is unknown and an investigation is underway.
He said: "The property was empty and under renovation so nobody had to be rescued. It was well alight when the two Hyndburn fire crews arrived. The windows, possibly four, had blown out and shattered because of the fire.
"Within 45 minutes the fire was out and the smoke had been cleared using a portable fan. It needs to be established whether it was a deliberate or accidental fire."
Two ground floor rooms were damaged by heat in the fire on Tuesday, October 11.
