A woman suffered a fractured cheek bone after being assaulted in an Accrington pub.
The 27-year-old was on the dancefloor with friends in the Bees Knees pub on the evening of Sunday, August 26 when she was struck in the face.
She fell to the floor broke, her cheek bone and sustained bruising and swelling to her face.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
PC Louise Miller said: “It is believed that this woman may not necessarily have been the target of the assault but may have just been stood next to a small disturbance taking place on the dance floor and became the perhaps, unintended, victim.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the pub at the time and has any information that might help us establish the circumstances of the assault.”
Officers have issued descriptions of two men they wish to speak to who were on the dance floor at the time of the assault.
One man is described as being around five feet seven inches tall, of stocky build with short, cropped dark hair. He was wearing a shirt and tie.
The other man is described as being slightly taller than the first male and of very stocky build and was wearing a long sleeved top with button detail down the left shoulder.
If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact police by calling 101, or alternatively, information can be passed via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
