AN Oswaldtwistle wool shop owner has impressed passers-by with her festive knitting display.

Sheila Moores of Sheila's Wool Shop in Union Road, has added to her Christmas creation over the years.

This year her 28-year-old daughter Rheah, has knitted a gingerbread house to go with the woollen Christmas trees, gnomes and angels.

And Sheila, 55, who has run the shop for 11 years and lived in Stanhill Lane for 30 years, says the designs by Alan Dart, have attracted the most attention yet.

She said: "It's been gradually built up over the years and Rheah's been working on the latest addition for the last couple of months.

"I like to do it for the children because they seem to like coming in to look at it but we've attracted attention from many people.

"One lady came in especially to tell me what a lovely display it was."

Sheila holds knitting classes from the shop for people of all ages. For details call Sheila on: 01254 875525.
