That spooky time of year is almost upon us once again.

If you’re looking for a Halloween-themed event for the family or children then there are plenty to choose from.

Some events have already taken place including Accrington Lions’ annual Halloween party, attended by around 200 children and parents.

May Edmundson, of the Lions, said it was a ‘brilliant day’. She added: “It’s something we put on for the community every year and from the feedback we have had it’s been one of the best people have attended in recent years.

“We had fancy dress competitions for the children and they enjoyed playing games like pass the pumpkin and wrapping other children up as a mummy using toilet roll.”
