Man given paramedic check-up after house fire

A man was treated by paramedics after a house fire.

Two crews from Hyndburn were called to Westwood Street in Accrington after a fire in the lounge area.

When they arrived the fire was already out and they made the scene safe.

Damage was caused to the lounge contents and hallway carpet.

One man was treated by firefighters before receiving a precautionary check from paramedics.

The incident took place at around 11.30am on Sunday, April 5.
