A man had to pull off the motorway when his engine caught fire this morning.
He managed to get off the M65 and on to Dunkenhalgh Way off junction 7 of the M65 just before rush hour on Wednesday, August 7.
Crew manager Stephen Horrocks, of Hyndburn Fire Station, said: "He was on his way to work in Burnley and had set off from Blackpool. He had nearly got there but noticed smoke coming from his engine. We put the fire out on arrival and he was okay but the car was a write off."
