Police are currently on the scene after reports of a post office robbery in Rising Bridge.
Officers arrived at Rising Bridge Post Office on Blackburn Road shortly after 11.05am this morning after reports of a robbery.
Lancashire Police said 'weapons' had been used, but not firearms.
A spokesman said: “This is an ongoing incident and we are in the very early stages. No one has been injured and there has been no firearm used.”
It comes four weeks after a separate incident at Rishton post office on Friday, June 5 where a post office worker was ‘restrained’ by robbers who then fled the premises with an unknown amount of cash.
