Hundreds of teenagers are set to flock to a specialist prom event this weekend.
The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, in Clayton-le-Moors, will host Prom Fayres UK for the second time after last year’s inaugural success.
The event will include two catwalk shows previewing the latest trends in dresses, hair, make-up, jewellery and accessories and free goody bags. There will also be a raffle with over £1,500 worth of prizes, including a designer Prom dress.
All proceeds will go to the Baby Beat Appeal, Sharoe Green Maternity Unit at Royal Preston Hospital.
Sarah Burns, managing director of Prom Fayres UK, said it’s a ‘definite must attend event’ for anyone planning their prom.
She said: “We will be welcoming every school leaver to our fairs which are the largest events of their kind staged in the region.
"All these young people will be looking for ideas, inspiration and advice to plan their prom night and that is exactly what we plan to give them in abundance.”
It will take place on Sunday, January 31 between 10am and 4pm and is open to all teenagers with an accompanying adult.
