Police have appealed for information after two business premises were targeted by thieves.

A white Ford Transit van was stolen from one of two units on Victoria Street in Great Harwood  overnight on Saturday, July 27.

Large amounts of cable and two laptops were also taken after the thieves forced through shutters at the front of the premises.

Police said the thieves drove the van and turned left onto Queen before heading past Morrisons Petrol Station at 10.40pm.

PC Paul Wolstenholme said the van passed through the Clayton area.

He added: “I would like to appeal to anyone who has seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area of Victoria Street or has seen a significant amount of blue, yellow and black cable in the last few days and is suspicious about how it has been obtained. Maybe somebody in the Clayton area has seen the vehicle driving past and can provide some information.

“The offenders will have possibly been in the eyesight of anybody passing the entrance to the petrol station forecourt as it was in the process of closing for the day. Anyone with information should contact me on 101.”
