A woman was left ‘shaken’ after an alleged hit and run incident in Church.
Paramedics and police were called to Barnes Street at around 1.45pm this afternoon after the woman was involved in a collision with a car.
Lancashire Police said the driver made off from the scene before abandoning the car on Norfolk Grove and then getting into a second car.
A police helicopter was called to the scene to search for the driver.
An 18-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene after an accident.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
A police spokesperson said the woman was checked over by paramedics at the scene and was ‘shaken but not injured’.
