This week nights out on the town, a carnival queen and fundraisers in fancy dress feature in our Time-trip column.
Each week we will publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.
The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.
This week our pictures show nights out at Warners and Baileys Bar in Accrington town centre, and Accrington Carnival Queen Sammy Taylor with her uncle Allan Benfield, Ju-Jitsu black belt third Dan and sensei of the Allan Benfield School of Self Defence.
There is also a shot of Jackie Greenwood and Connie Callow with friends raising money around Accrington for their trek around the Himalayas for Age Concern.
The photographs were all taken in the mid 2000s.
