Accrington Stanley will kick off their League Two campaign with a home game against Luton Town on August 8.

As confirmed on Tuesday, John Coleman's men will then host Hull City in the League Cup in midweek before facing bitter rivals Morecambe in their very first away game.

The Shrimps have signed former Stanley favourite Peter Murphy this summer and he'll get to face his old club in his first home game for Morecambe on August 15. The Reds' next Lancashire derby will be at home to Morecambe on April 16.

The Reds, who finished 17th in League Two last term, host Carlisle United on Boxing Day before visiting Northampton (December 28) and Mansfield (January 2) over the festive period.

They are due to host former Premier League side Portsmouth on January 16 finishing the season at home to Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage on May 7.
