Oswaldtwistle Immanuel CC have announced the signing of Australian batsman Lewis Mildenhall as their overseas player for the 2013 season.

Mildenhall is 24 years old and is from Victoria. He is a top order right-handed batsman and also bowls medium pace and has played for St Kilda for the last two seasons.

Prior to that he played for Richmond and has scored more than 3,000 runs for St Kilda CC and Richmond CC.

He comes highly regarded as a talented player, has his cricket coaching qualifications and is also a qualified PE teacher.

He will be arriving before the season, which starts on 13th April, and is looking forward to the challenge of the Ribblesdale League.

The club has lined up two friendly games on the weekend before the season, with a game at Bredon CC in Worcestershire and a game at Walsall CC on 7th April.
