Enfield Cricket Club have a new LED scorebox at Dill Hall Lane.

The new scorebox has been funded by bonds from members and was used for the first time against Burnley on Saturday.

Club captain David Bracewell came up with the idea to sell £50 bonds to members and sponsors throughout the club in order to generate funding.

More than £5,000 of bonds were sold and there will now be a draw twice a month to pay the bonds back to the members, although more than half do not want their money back.

The new scorebox was erected by members Mark Hollister, Phil Wright, Anthony and Dan Haworth.

The four took three days holiday to complete the task and a special thanks goes out from the committee.
