STANLEY'S international striker Rommy Boco was only too pleased to sign an extension to his contract which will keep him at Accrington until 2009.

The 21-year-old Benin star put pen to paper on a new deal with the League Two side this week.

"I am happy. I am only 21 and want to buy a house here and get settled so I was pleased to sign an extension to the contract," said Boco.

"I want to be playing and am enjoying it at Accrington. I am getting back to fitness and I want to progress along with the club."

Boco, who scored the club's first league goals in 44 years, is currently on the road to recovery from a bad back which sidelined him for two months.

But manager John Coleman expects to see him firing on all cylinders in the near future.

"Rommy's best is still to come and I think he is just a few weeks away now."
