CAPTAIN fantastic, Peter Cavanagh, chooses his number ones...
NO 1 MOMENT: It has to be Saturday. Just seeing everyone enjoying themselves on the pitch at Woking, hugging each other and realising we had achieved our dream. And for me personally, it was an emotional day as Coley dedicated the win to my brother.
NO 1 GOAL: Gary Roberts' free kick against Exeter. It was just a coincidence that me, Ian Craney and Gary had talked about it before the game, catching the keeper blind, and we had rehearsed it without the ball before the game. And we got a free kick in the exact spot where we had practised and he hit it beautifully into the top corner of the net. He couldn't have hit it any better. And it was all down to me of course!
NO 1 CELEBRATION: Andy Mangan got one where all the lads just started pointing at each other and that has tended to stick. We also enjoyed doing the "prayer" one for David Brown where we all knelt around him.
NO 1 COLEY ROLLOCKING: Against Grays. You would think, being 12 points clear, that he would put it down as a blip but he kept us in for an hour after the game and was having none of it. It shows the kind of person he is and how, no matter what, he wants us to win every game
NO 1 MATCH: I haven't really played in that many but I guess it was Morecambe on Sky. They were second in the league and really fancied their chances. It was such a big game with all the build up and then we went and it was a custard pie to them and we kicked on.
NO 1 OPPONENT: I guess the person who has been the biggest handful is Aaron McLean of Grays.
NO 1 STANLEY PLAYER: I am torn between Paul Mullin and Ian Craney. Paul is everything for Accrington Stanley and he is the benchmark for us. But I am going to plump for my best-mate Ian as he has been outstanding. He has done really well this season and scored some great goals. One of them will be the Conference Player of the Season - they must be.
NO 1 HAIRCUT: Andy Mangan's mop was bad but it has to be Andy Todd. I have never known anyone with such straight and styled hair. He has all the equipment too - the best GHD's - and spends hours getting his hair straight.
NO 1 DANCER: Ian Craney's jig after games and he does it on Saturday night too!
NO 1 DRESSER: Anthony Barry has set too high a benchmark. No one at the club comes anywhere near him. I do have a worst one though - Danny Alcock. The suit he wears on match days is really bad and it has got to go. He has had it for about three years!
NO 1 TIE: Most of the lads are quite well matched but Andy Dibble has had a few naughty ties lately. He is usually quite snappy but he has taken it one step too far recently!
NO 1 GROUND VISITED: I haven't been to many this season, probably Exeter as we tend to have good results there.
NO 1 SUPPORT: At Grays, I wasn't there but I could see all the flags and the colour and hear all the cheering and the commentators kept talking about it. And the lads kept talking about how great the support was after the game.
NO 1 SONG BY FANS: The one that made me laugh was at Hereford when the fans sung "There is only one Jodie Marsh" to Robbie Williams. They say he has a nose like Jodie Marsh's and even Robbie was lauging after! I also liked "There is only one Roy Cropper" to Andy Mangan!
NO 1 FUNNY MOMENT: On one of our team bonding trips to Wales, Gary Roberts and Danny Ventre crashed a golf buggy. Everyone else couldn't stop laughing and even Danny was despite the fact he had cut his leg. You had to be there - but it was funny!
